English: Wild Cherry, west of Hilston, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Wild Cherry (Prunus avium) aka Gean or Mazzard, on the east side of the B1242 near the junction with Tower Road, Hilston. One of Britain and Europe's native plant species, the fruit of the wild cherry is apparently quite bitter but it is a parent of most European cultivated cherries.
